Clinical Scholarship - What it is?

The term "scholarship" generally refers to the academic or intellectual pursuit of knowledge, research, and learning. It involves the rigorous study of a particular subject or field and often includes producing and sharing new knowledge through research, writing, and other scholarly activities.

"Clinical scholarship" refers to the application of scholarly principles and methodologies in the context of clinical practice or healthcare. In this context, a clinical scholar would be someone who not only practices medicine or provides healthcare services but also engages in scholarly activities related to their field. In summary, clinical scholarship encompasses the integration of academic rigor and evidence-based practice in the context of clinical medicine or healthcare, fostering a dynamic relationship between research and practical application to improve patient outcomes and advance the field.
